A simple child’s drawing was enough to sow doubt in Elodie’s mind. Convinced that her husband was hiding something from her, she decided to secretly follow him and their daughter… without imagining that the truth would shatter all her certainties.
Sometimes, a single detail is enough to shake up your entire daily routine. A child’s comment, an innocent drawing, a name casually mentioned in conversation… and suddenly, your mind races. That’s exactly what happened to Élodie , a 32-year-old new mother, when a suspicion began to take root in her mind without warning. Convinced that something was being hidden from her, she made an impulsive decision: to take a day off work and discreetly follow her husband and daughter. But what she discovered that day was nothing like what she had imagined.
A child’s drawing that raises doubt
It all begins when Élodie is summoned by her daughter Léa ‘s teacher after school. Worried but thinking it’s just a routine discussion, she goes to class without imagining what awaits her.
The teacher then hands her a drawing made by the little girl: a family scene with four people holding hands under a large yellow star. Élodie immediately recognizes the silhouettes representing “mom,” “dad,” and “me.” But a fourth person appears in the drawing.

The teacher then explains that Léa regularly mentions this mysterious Camille in her stories and drawings, as if she were an important person in her daily life.
For Élodie, the shock was immediate.
A disturbing confession that changes everything
That same evening, once her daughter was in bed, Élodie gently tried to find out more. She simply asked,
“Who is Camille?”
Léa’s response instantly froze her.
“She’s Dad’s friend. We see her on Saturdays.”
In a few seconds, a thousand scenarios flash through her mind. For several months, Élodie has been working every weekend to provide a better financial situation for her family. Meanwhile, her husband Julien looks after their daughter alone every Saturday.
Léa continues to speak with the innocence typical of children: Camille is kind, pretty, she smells like vanilla and they have a very good time together.
For Élodie, all the signs seem to point in the same direction. Convinced that something is being hidden from her, she nevertheless decides not to say anything to her husband right away. She wants answers, not excuses.
She decides to follow her husband in secret
The following Saturday, Élodie claims she had a canceled day at work and leads her husband to believe she’s leaving as usual. In reality, she waits for him to leave the house with Léa before discreetly following them using the family tracking system.
Her heart pounding, she follows them by car, convinced that she is about to discover a shocking truth .
But very quickly, she notices that they are not heading towards the place her husband announced.
The car finally stops in front of an unfamiliar building decorated for the holidays. On the plaque at the entrance, Élodie then reads:
